1. When Weber left in Kriegel started the jazz-rock group, the Mild Maniac Orchestra. In the meantime, in , he had been a co-founder of the United Jazz And Rock Ensemble. In he co-founded Mood Records. As well as his musical activities, he was a distinguished cartoonist (both for journals and record sleeves), animator and broadcaster.

4. As a big fan of 70's jazzrock in general I was pretty amazed after discovering Volker Kriegel, a fantastic German guitarist. He left a lot of fin records behind, but "Lift!" is a special one. It brings the density, freshness and emotions of MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA, but doesn't(!) try to compete with their level of volume or ideas at all/5(5).
