1. This album, which Hackett produced, is the best-sounding release of his career. Most of the 11 tracks are more like soundscapes or aural impressions, than songs in the conventional sense; this is not necessarily a bad thing.6/

3. This CD is a good album this exceptional musician. The album alternates mysterious tones, gusts and calm songs with good rhythm, remembering the good times Hackett. It's a little different from those Popular Career Hackett, but no less interesting album. The remastering has tightened up the work and the bonus was even more interesting/5(13).

4. Hackett puts more effort into each song than many other artists put into a whole album and these five albums in this set are all brilliant with many absolute gems within. Have now ordered another 4 albums to add further, reassured in the knowledge that Mr Hackett continues to produce music to /5(17).

9. Darktown shows a much darker side of Steve Hackett's sound that doesn't sound like any of the playful records of the '70s nor the acoustic material that he was releasing prior to this album. The album starts off with an unexpected funky instrumental called Omega Metallicus which really kicks off the album in the right direction/5(26).
